Doctors and patients are partners in the healing process. Your health challenges may be caused by physical, chemical, emotional, or spiritual challenges or by a combination of multiple factors. You may have a lack of clarity or just old stuck energy. It takes an integrated approach, that takes into account the whole person, including lifestyle, to achieve vibrant health. All factors that influence health, wellness, and disease are taken into consideration in our practice, including mind, body, spirit, and community. People drawn to my work recognize that health care in this country is not working. They recognize that the mystery and magic of the human body requires more, much more. We don’t get sick because we have a lack of medication. Most of us want to avoid medications as much as possible. Even if you do take medication, you know you don’t want to take any more than absolutely necessary and you still want to feel good. Effective interventions that are natural and less invasive should be used whenever possible.
It is always my honor to be of service and to assist you in maintaining your health and well-being.
Dr. Val’s Bio
Dr. Valorie Prahl is a Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Clinical Nutritionist. She has been in active practice for more than 30 years. Dr. Val has served on professional licensing boards, and State Association boards providing guidance to health care practitioners on integrative approaches to health care leadership. Her frustration with the typical medical approach of suppressing symptoms without finding their underlying cause set her on a journey to discover solutions. Her desire is to help patients deal with stress and to heal from pain effectively along with having more energy to enjoy life. She is fascinated by the expanding field of epigenetics, the study of DNA and how it can be positively affected. She uses her understanding to help “turn-on” processes in the body. This allows abundant energy and speedy healing.
Dr. Prahl’s work as an integrative health provider allows her to serve patients with drug-free, effective strategies including nutritional recommendations, mind/body tools, and health coaching to help patients have increased energy and vitality.
“As a doctor, wife, mother, and grandmother, I can relate to a busy lifestyle. I know what daily life is like and how important it is to find the balance between caring for others and self-care. Gardening is a passion because I love flowers and really enjoy preparing and eating real food. Nature fills my cup. Life feels great walking in the woods or sitting by the water. Other loves include family, friends, traveling, reading, and playing with fabric. My office is in my home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I have coaching clients and patients throughout the United States and the world.”
